PROJECT OVERVIEW

Partner: Neta Collab, a design and strategy collective focused on social impact and community-centered work.

Project Objective: To evolve and strengthen Neta's brand identity through comprehensive design systems, custom illustrations, and strategic visual communications that reflect the organization's mission and values.

My Role: Full-Time Designer and Brand Manager for Neta. Lead designer on rebrand, custom illustrations, social media graphics, merchandise design, and strategic brand evolution.

DISCOVERY AND RESEARCH

Extensive research into Neta's audience and Team brainstorming sessions revealed key insights for the rebrand. Conversations with the Neta team and CEO found that the previous branding felt outdated and didn’t authentically represent Neta and the creative power and values behind the agency. Understanding Neta's unique position at the intersection of design and social impact helped identify opportunities to create a distinctive visual identity that would resonate with both clients and communities served.

Special attention was given to honoring the Mexican cultural heritage of CEO and Founder Ambar Lopez, ensuring the brand authentically represented Neta's roots.

 

STRATEGY + CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

Brand Evolution Goals:

  • Create a cohesive visual identity system that reflects Neta's values and mission

  • Develop versatile design assets that work across multiple platforms and mediums

  • Establish brand guidelines that allow for creativity while maintaining consistency

  • Position Neta visually as a leader in socially conscious design and strategy

  • Authentically celebrate and incorporate the Mexican cultural influences and Latina + LGBTQ ownership

Cultural Competency:

  • Collaborated closely with Neta’s CEO, Ambar Lopez, and the full Neta team to ensure cultural elements were respectfully and authentically integrated

  • Researched Mexican design traditions, color theory, and artistic movements

  • Developed visual identitiy that celebrates Latina + LGBTQ entrepreneurship and perspective

  • Created a brand that proudly represents Neta's identity while connecting with diverse audiences

  • Established brand templates and styles that balances brand cohesion with creative flexibility
